		PARADE RULES PARADE ENTRY FORM PARADE PRESS RELEASE An old-fashioned parade always generates smiles and overshadows worries. Farm wagons convert into rolling stages. Fire trucks blast sirens. Bands march in precision with the morning sun generating starbursts on brass instruments. And happy hands continually wave to proud parents, grandparents and friends in the crowd.
		The Float & Award Competition will once again recognize six winners: President's Award Trophy & $200 Best Overall Float Presentation Heritage Award Trophy & $100 Best Presentation of Swiss Theme Young Ambassadors Award Trophy & $100 Best Float Presentation by Youth Group Just For Fun Award Trophy & $50 Most Entertaining Parade Entry Golden Oldie Award rophy & $50 Outstanding Antique Vehicle Entry Klippety-Klop Award Trophy & $50 Outstanding Equestrian Entry	This year's pre-parade entertainment will begin around 9:40 a.m. Saturday in front of the Switzerland County Courthouse. The Swiss Wine Festival certainly welcomes and encourages local businesses and groups, as well as those from surrounding areas, to join the convivial fanfare by entering a float or a touch of entertainment. Like a smile, a parade erases all boundary lines and brings people together. Planning for the Grand Festival Parade never stops and will be ongoing until Saturday morning when the first unit pulls out onto Main Street at 10 o'clock.
