Now in its 48th year, the four-day event, held on Vevay's riverfront, uniquely blends tradition and fun for the whole family.

Description

The double elimination tournament will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023. The games will be played in the family area of the beer garden at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park. The entry fee for each team is $50.00 ($40.00 pre-registered). The first 25 teams to register will receive commemorative t-shirts. Teams will be accepted until 11:00am on Sunday. Team members can be any age. Entry forms and fees can be turned in at the Swiss Wine Festival office located at 210 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana. Please be sure to have the person accepting your entry enter the date and time received in the bottom right hand corner of the form as this information will be used to determine who will receive t-shirts. (Keep in mind that only the first 25 teams will receive t-shirts, so get your forms in as early as possible.) Registered teams can begin signing in at 11:00am on Sunday to pick up their t-shirts. At 12:00pm one member from each team will draw for their 1st round bracket placing. Play will begin after the drawing. Any team not present at the time their game is to start, will be given a 5 minute warning and if still are not present they will forfeit the game to their opponent. The tournament will be played in an ongoing manner. 5 courts will be utilized for the tournament with a rolling format. At 12:00 noon, the first 10 teams will enter the courts. A tournament official will flip a coin to determine honors of being the first team to throw. The other team will be given the choice of which bag color they wish to throw. Each player will be given the opportunity to practice with the 4 bags they will be using. After each team member gets a chance to practice, their game will begin. The first team to 21 or more will be declared the winner. When play on a court is completed, the winning team will report the results to the scorekeeper. The next 2 teams will be announced for the vacated court and the teams will have 5 minutes to report to the appointed court. All teams will be given practice throws before their game begins.
